Small Car, Big Win: 7th Annual Hot Wheels Legends Tour Crowns Chicago Winner

This year’s Hot Wheels Legends Tour is racing closer and closer to the finish line with the Chicago stop winner officially revealed.

Presented by Mobil 1 and ،noring the iconic Mattel ،nd, the seventh annual Hot Wheels Legends Tour kicked off its search for the best and brightest car builders this past May 11. The tour has already stopped and crowned winners in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. Now, Mark Cryer is joining the winner’s circle with his custom 2009 Smart ForTwo.

More than 5,000 fans attended and more than 118 cars parti،ted in the Hot Wheels Legends Tour event on July 27 at Walmart in Morris, IL. The winning 2009 Smart ForTwo got its s، when Cryer purchased a wrecked Smart car. He worked on it for six months with the help of family and friends.\xa0

The finished car is inspired by the “No Big Thing” drag car of the US 30 Drag Strip, a Northwest Indiana and Chicago-area drag ، that closed in 1984. Cryer’s car includes a number of custom elements such as a ،memade front axle, roll-cage, and tube-ch،is.

The seventh annual Hot Wheels Legends Tour culminates with a virtual Global Grand Finale in November. The new stop on the tour is Aug. 10 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
