"Fighting" Over Toys at Pop Toy Show Singapore 2024

mustsharenews.com reported that the fight was connected to the LABUBU drop at "The Monsters" booth (on Day 1), which led to the cancellation of subsequent sales (no wonder I saw the notice on the events\' socials), which is not surprising as the items listed included the Macaroni Plush Labubu (with vinyl face) which LIDSA of Blackpink posed with none too long ago, which in turn led to insane popularity in Thailand... and now fighting in Singapore over Labubu? The Aftermath: And thanks to Edward @drawdelow (A toy designer & vendor at PTS), we have a snap of Sunday, where The Monsters (Labubu) booth/table had a release/lottery, with security personnel surrounding the crowd...! I wonder if the same folks (w، engaged in the fight) returned for more Labubu...?

We have been seeing a lot more "violence" in toy-related events in recent years, haven\'t we? (t،se that were spoken about in public, anyways) ... from the usual door/entrance zombie-dash-throughs, to fights erupting in queues for toys, which I suspect to be more "scalpers"-based than actual collectors, but to be fair, I have not witnessed any with my own eyes, beyond speculative video-recordings seen online!

But then a،n, issues like this as well opens up conversations (Be it "good" or "bad") with engaging folks and toys, innit? (Literal) children fighting over toys, versus Kidults fighting over toys ... "Toy collecting" is indeed blind when it comes to "age"! LOL
